The speakers, Mr. Arun Kapur, Chairman, Ritinjali, Mr. Pavan Sukhdev, Founding Trustee, GIST, Mr. Kapil Sibal, Honourable Cabinet Minister for Science, Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India, and Mr. R.S. Pawar, Chairman and Co-Founder, NIIT, all stated that GDP growth only tells an incomplete story, which keeps quiet the depletion of natural resources and the inequalities with regard to health and education.  

 

The participants had the opportunity to engage in stimulating exchanges with the members of the panel, notably regarding the need for enlightened leadership, both from governments and businesses. This starter event aimed at catalysing social, corporate and political action for paving the way to the advent of a sustainable and inclusive economy of permanence acting for the society at large.
