Pavan Sukhdev

Pavan Sukhdev, CEO GIST Advisory, wears different hats in spheres of private sector, public enterprise and civil society. Currently serving as Special Advisor and Head of UNEP’s ‘Green Economy Initiative’, Pavan has been a seasoned banker with Deutsche Bank in the past and has served on board of the bank' s Global Markets Centre’ in Mumbai. He was appointed the Study Leader of the G8+5 sponsored study called ‘The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity’ (TEEB) which attempts to put a monetary value on the worlds ecosystems and biodiversity. Pavan pursues a long term interest in environmental economics and nature conservation through his work with the Green India States Trust (GIST) and other NGO’s. GIST has developed and published empirical work in the area of Green Accounting through its ambitious ‘Green Accounting for Indian States Project' (GAISP).

P. Yesuthasen, Managing Trustee, GIST, is a Consultant in Foreign Exchange and Exchange Control, and serves on the Boards of a Belgian software company and a bank. He is also on the International and India Boards of a Church related Micro Finance Company and is involved in an Australian Trust that runs a Children’s Home.

In the past, he was a Deputy Controller in the Reserve Bank of India where, in the early nineties, he initiated a number of developments in the regulation of the Forex market.
